Greg Kraemer with the Sleep in Heavenly Peace Omaha Chapter will share the mission of his organization. Greg and other SHP volunteers will also help Kiwanians to build 40 bed headboards.
Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) is a volunteer-driven nonprofit dedicated to building and delivering hand-made, fully furnished beds to children in need. SHP’s mission is to tackle childhood bedlessness, which are estimated to affect nearly 3% of the population.
District Convention Service Project
Thanks to generous clubs and individuals across the district, we have raised over $12,000, enough for 40 beds for kids. At convention, our project will be to build the headboards for those bends. Sleep in Heavenly Peace staff will be on hand to assist Kiwanians with this. Forty-five volunteers are needed (three sessions, 15 volunteers each session.) Key Club and Circle K International members in attendance will volunteer at a forth session.
Friday, Aug. 7, 4 p.m.-5 p.m. – 15 volunteers needed
