Regions/Trustees

There are six Regions in the Nebraska-Iowa District. Each region elects a trustee to represent on the District Board and help oversee the District.

Regional Locations & Terms

Region 1 – Divisions 14, 15, 16; Current Term: Oct. 1, 2024- Sept. 30, 2027
Region 2 – Divisions 12, 13; Current Term: Oct. 1, 2025 – Sept. 30, 2028
Region 3 – Divisions 2, 3, 4; Current Term: Oct. 1, 2025 – Sept. 30, 2028
Region 4 – Division 6; Current Term: Oct. 1, 2024 – Sept. 30, 2027
Region 5 – Divisions 5, 10, 11; Current Term: Oct. 1, 2023 – Sept. 30, 2026
Region 6 – Divisions 7, 8, 9; Current Term: Oct. 1, 2023 – Sept. 30 2026

Trustees have the duties and responsibilities to:

Perform the duties as a member of the District Board.
Provide support to the Lieutenant Governors in their region.
Plan and preside at regional meetings, under the direction of the District Governor.
Assist the Governor with the governance of the District by
a. Developing and approving budgets;
b. Reviewing bylaws;
c. Reviewing policy and making changes when necessary;
d. Making recommendations on personnel issues;
e. Developing a strategic plan in line with the strategic plan of Kiwanis International
and monitoring progress; and
f. Investing time to properly address District level issues.
