Club Leadership Education

Club Presidents, Secretaries, Treasurers and Membership Committee Chairs are asked to attend CLE before the start of the Oct. 1 Kiwanis year. Attendance credits are received by the clubs.

(Officers only need to attend one session to receive credit.)

  • Thursday, July 30, 7-9 p.m. CT
  • Tuesday, Aug. 25, 7-9 p.m. CT

Pre-registration for these Zoom meetings is required and links will be announced this spring.

In-Person Sessions

  • Mid America Center, time TBD

Registration for in-person CLE is required.

There are no divisional or regional sessions scheduled at this time.

Clubs elect and/or appoint their officers, directors, committee chairs and other leaders each spring. Officer reporting for the coming Kiwanis year (which begins Oct. 1) is due by June 1. (Secretaries, please report through your online dashboard.)

CLC is a continuing education series organized by the Nebraska-Iowa District. Club leaders are encouraged to attend. While some CLCs have a specific theme, the information and club sharing are good resources. All Kiwanis members are welcome to attend.

The CLCs are organized as a part of the $20 Club Education Fee each club pays to the District annually and there are no additional fees for CLC attendance. These virtual meetings are held on Zoom and pre-registration is required. Registration information is emailed to members in the monthly newsletter and also in the Club Officer Buzz.

Some CLCs are focused on Service Leadership Programs. SLP advisors.

Any interested member is invited to attend any of these virtual meetings.

We are living in the digital age and an eye on cyber safety is very important.

The April 2024 Club Leadership Chat focused on keeping yourself and your club safe in cyberspace.

The Kiwanis International IT Department has developed a training session called “Keep Your Club Safe In Cyberspace.” MX Technology Engineer Bryce Kinder led the April 22, 2024 session and helped members gain valuable insights into the latest cyber threats.
