The 2025-2026 governor of the Nebraska-Iowa District is Brian Wells.
Gov. Brian is a member of the Bellevue Kiwanis Club. He joined Kiwanis in February 2015 and has several club leadership positions. He is a past lt. governor and also a past regional trustee for the district.
Brian hails from Frankfort Indiana and served in the U.S. Army (1978‐2001). He was a business owner/entrepreneur (2001‐2006) then served as a Department of the Army Civilian/US Department of HUD (Omaha, NE) employee until retirement in 2020.

Each club sponsors or co-sponsors an SLP
Establish a Governor’s Award for Excellence for clubs sponsoring all 5 levels of SLPs
Each club/division offers to assist the music department of the local school district/home school in some fashion to benefit the children and community (Supports the Kiwanis Rocks theme)
Governor participates (zoom/in person) with each Division (or clubs within the Division) during the year through the BUILD, NURTURE and RETAIN philosophy
Grow Kiwanis Leadership by using ACE tools, Amplify and dynamic example leadership at all levels of the Kiwanis Universe from Clubs to District and beyond
