Scholarships will be awarded to Key Club seniors who are passionate about making a difference in the world. These students have a heart to serve, have answered the call to lead, and have exercised the courage to engage. They go the extra mile and encourage others to do the same.
Nominees may be submitted by the Key Club Faculty Advisor, the Key Club Kiwanis Advisor or the President of the sponsoring Kiwanis Club. Nominees cannot be related to the person making the recommendation. A completed form (below) will serve as nomination for both scholarship programs.
The person making the nomination is asked to consider the following when nominating a student for these scholarships: Key Club believes that service leadership is the powerful force that occurs once people discover their heart to serve, answer the call to lead and exercise the courage to engage. Use the form provided to nominate a student that has embodied these characteristics and tell us they have embraced service leadership in their home club.
The judges will be the Nebraska-Iowa District Awards and Scholarship Committee for the Kiwanis District’s scholarships and the Key Club administrator for the Key Club District’s scholarship. Scholarship winners will be announced by the end of the school year.
Please Note: Other than the pertinent information at the top of the application form, using minimal references to names, schools and communities on the rest of the application would be helpful for judging purposes.
